Learning by Doing: The Design Cycle The framework that underlies the project-based units that I teach is the Design Cycle. Since I work in an IB school, I use the IB-MYP Design Cycle model which is explained pretty clearly here but there are plenty of different models to choose from. Below are a few that I like. A Google search will show how it can be adapted for different needs and different projects.
